My Approach

In general, my approach to therapy is that my role is to be a neutral mirror, with positive regard to everyone in my office. I am here to be a supportive encourager, an advocator and a helper with kindness and respect.

I will always be looking for signs of growth. I will suggest you validate yourself and your behaviors and will strongly encourage kindness and self-compassion instead of harsh critiques or unfair standards.

I believe in long term growth. I think failure and struggle are normal for everyone. Failure isn’t a sign that you can’t do it. I am here to support you and find wins in the failure.

I believe in starting with small goals. Dream big, but let’s start small and get some momentum going and gradually increase our goals.

I think good routines help provide better long term growth. Whether we realize it or not, most of us have some kind of routine.

Lastly, I think exercise is incredibly important. I won’t make you run or do anything you don’t want to do. But, exercise is free and outside of drugs, it’s the fastest way to change how you feel on an emotional level.
