Exercise, vitamin D and more…

The benefits of walking and being outdoors are well studied and numerous. Exercise helps promote serotonin which is a major component in regulating mood in the brain, among other things.

Several studies have shown exercise to help reduce anxiety and depression as well as boost brain function. Sunlight on our skin helps our body promote vitamin D which has numerous health benefits.

Walking outside during therapy can be a wonderful way for clients to get out of the traditional therapy environment where they are inside and seated. Often times walking can also help clients open up more and feel more comfortable.

Exercise and movement can also help encourage clients into action rather than sitting and feeling stuck.

I offer a limited number of walking sessions a week. Please wear appropriate clothing.

To clarify, this is not a workout or even walking fast. We will walk at your preferred speed.
